A powerful and profound tribute to the renowned Aboriginal artist and grass-roots activist, Kevin Gilbert, will open in Canberra this week.
Gilbert, who died in 1993, was a Wiradjuri artist, poet and political activist; the first Aboriginal print-maker; and the first published Aboriginal playwright and political writer in Australia.
