The Governor of Western Australia, Malcolm McCusker said statements he made in speech to the open the State Parliament following the March 9 election were misinterpreted.
He said he was disappointed and upset at criticism of his speech because he felt his long association with Aboriginal Australia was being diminished when in fact he has been an ardent supporter of righting many of the wrongs inflicted upon Aboriginal peoples.
