Chance Bateman was in many ways a trailblazer at Hawthorn and he will forever be remembered as the man that paved the way for the club to recruit Indigenous footballers.

 

In March of 2000, the 31 year old from Western Australia became the club's first Indigenous man to play at the "family club" in his AFL...
