Star surfer Otis Carey sues for defamation

Law suits are vanishingly rare in the world of surfing. It's meant to be all peace, love and smokin' barrels - not briefs, plaintiffs, and corporate barristers. Now pro surfer Otis Carey is suing Nationwide News, a subsidiary of News Corp Australia, for defamation in a case that has divided the surfing community.
